The Government of Canada estimates that air pollution from fine particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide and ozone contributes to 15,300 premature annual deaths, with a total economic cost of $120 billion per year.

Mounting scientific evidence has shown linkages between indoor air quality and cognitive performance, as well as cardiovascular, respiratory and immune diseases.
